Investigators: 2 Bodies Found In Wooded Area In Middle Township

MIDDLE Twp., N.J., (CBS) — The bodies of a male and a female were discovered in a wooded area of Middle Township, investigators announced Wednesday.

At about 9:11 a.m. Wednesday, investigators say police responded to Old Rio Grande Avenue in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township. According to investigators, a person who was walking on a back trail in a wooded area discovered two individuals who appeared to be deceased.

Upon police arrival, investigators say they discovered the bodies of male and a female who were deceased.

The individuals at this time have not been identified and a joint investigation is presently underway by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Detective Unit of the Middle Township Police Department.

Personal Fireworks Illegal in Baltimore


BALTIMORE — The Baltimore City fire chief is reminding residents and visitors that the use of personal fireworks is illegal within the city limits.

Chief Niles R. Ford said in a news release on Friday that with Independence Day a week away, residents should remember that all consumer fireworks are banned in Baltimore.

Ford says while residents can buy consumer fireworks in the counties or on the Internet, the possession, manufacture, storage, sales, handling and use of fireworks in the city is prohibited.
