BALTIMORE — The Baltimore City fire chief is reminding residents and visitors that the use of personal fireworks is illegal within the city limits.
Chief Niles R. Ford said in a news release on Friday that with Independence Day a week away, residents should remember that all consumer fireworks are banned in Baltimore.
Ford says while residents can buy consumer fireworks in the counties or on the Internet, the possession, manufacture, storage, sales, handling and use of fireworks in the city is prohibited.
