Police: Store Ckerk Shot 3 Times During Robbery In Germantown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia Police say a man was shot three times during a robbery inside a corner store in Germantown Wednesday night and the gunman is on the loose.

It happened just after 8:30 p.m. at the store on the 1200 block of North Stafford Street.

Police say when they arrived, they found a 53-year-old employee of the store shot once in the face and twice in the thigh . He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.

Witnesses say the shooter was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and a ski mask and was armed with a silver semi automatic handgun.

In addition to the shooting, police say the suspect stole a undetermined amount of cash. He then fled the scene on foot, heading west on Stafford Street.

Police say there were other employees and customers inside the store at the time…
